Antique French Folding Bistro Set comprising of round folding white table and set of four antique (late 19th century) French folding bistro chairs. The table is white with signs of aging with a hole in the middle which can accommodate an umbrella. The chairs each have distressed wooden seats in blue and pink with white metal folding frames. French bistro chairs are often referred to as 'chaises de bistrot' and became iconic symbols of Parisian street life and outdoor dining in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
I bought this set because they are different to the run of the mill bistro table and chairs and would add a pop of colour to any patio or garden.
Two of the chairs are missing the back slat on the seat, and the chair photographed has a small chip out of the back rest, but this doesn't detract from their functionality. All chairs have been treated for woodworm.
When folded they don't take up much space.
