The Old Farmhouse - Bedroom

This is a small room and dark room, so I wanted to make it feel cosy.  I achieved this by wall papering in William Morris Willow Brough.  To make sure the wall paper didn't look too much, I chose to paint the timbers white and the window wall a contrasting green (Glass by Paint & Paper Library).

I love contrasting blue and green, so added a blue bed spread.

Because it is a small room, I added a few larger items to make it feel more cosy, such as the round mirror and carbuoy lamp which sits on a glass topped Fortnum & Maison hamper.

I love to mix vintage/antique furniture with contemporary furniture as you will see in the pictures with the antique bed and pine chest of drawers which contrast with the contemporary boucle chair and large mirror.
