Lovely example of an antique glazed stoneware Beehive Jug with a handle and spout - a great decorative item.

Soneware jugs like this were common utilitarian vessels used for storage and the transport of liquids, such as water, milk or ale from the 18th to the early 20th centuries.  Due to the presence of the spout, it suggestes that this jug was used for pouring.  It is suggested that this jug dates back to the 19th century - it would add rustic charm to any room or garden.
