Beautiful 19th century (antique) French Louis XVI style carved Giltwood and painted French Pier mirror, featuring fluted columns and a decorative green panel, made from wood and gesso. It was originally designed to hang between windows ('pier') or above a mantlepiece. There is very little foxing in the glass. Some of the gilding has chipped off due to its age, but this just adds to the vintage patina - the mirror is very heavy.
