Antique French Bottle with Ceramic Stopper and Metal Handle

Very unusual antique French dark green glass bottle with a white ceramic stopper and metal handle.  This type of bottle / decorative carafe was common in the early 20th century.  The dark green glass was frequently used for preserving contents from light and the robust construction with a secure stopper made them practical for various liquids.  The addition of a metal handle suggests it was designed for easier pouring or transport, possibly for table use or for carrying liquids from a well or cellar.
