I just love this jug.... the colour is gorgeous and the shape really unusual with its three ceramic legs and lid. It originates from the 19th century and is French folk pottery - the three legs make it very unusual. It also comes with a lid which has been broken in the past and mended (see photos), which includes a piece of French magazine under the lid.
The handle has also been mended at the top and the bottom, but it remains sturdy and I don't think these defects detract from the beauty of the piece. Jugs such as this usually retail between £80 - £150, however due to the imperfections, the price has been reduced.
